Cornerstone Committment

Cornerstone meets two days per week, Mondays and Wednesdays, from 9-1pm, offering a peaceful rhythm of in‑community learning followed by home days for practice, reading, math, and family connection.

Our days begin with a Morning Gathering of worship and Scripture, followed by rich blocks of history, science, memory work, Bible, civics, and fine arts. Lunch is unhurried and together, and we end the week with a short Closing Liturgy. You can find the schedule on the Program Details page.

We are finalizing our host facility in Melbourne and will share the confirmed location with enrolled families as soon as it is secured

Cornerstone is a parent‑involved community, not a drop‑off school. Parents remain on campus and participate in the life of the co‑op through support roles, relationship‑building, and shared learning.

We use a carefully curated blend of classical Christian resources: • Story of the World for history • Berean Builders for science • Invictus for memory work • Rafiki for Bible • Geography, civics, and fine arts rotations Each strand is chosen for clarity, depth, and alignment with classical Christian formation

Our program is intentionally designed for a one-room schoolhouse feel where ages 4-10 are learning together using narration, stations, hands‑on activities, and differentiated expectations so every child can participate meaningfully. The older youth model for the younger and get to share in the joy of watching knowledge grow.

Cornerstone is a distinctly Christian co‑op. While families do not need to belong to a specific denomination, they are expected to complete a family interview and demonstrate understanding of Cornerstone's mission and statement of faith.

Parents remain on campus, assist in classrooms or stations, and help maintain a peaceful, orderly environment. No teaching experience is required—just a willingness to serve and participate. This is the heart of community.
